The LIFE PHOENIX project begins its countdown to start-up

The installation of Aqualia’s demonstration plants for medium-large populations is already in its final stretch. The different technologies proposed, such as physical-chemical pretreatments, filtration, biofiltration, ultrafiltration and advanced disinfection/oxidation have already been installed at the El Toyo WWTP.

Similarly, in the facilities of the LIFE PHOENIX project, the plants for small towns: raceway, wetlands, photo-Phenton reactors, ultraviolet disinfection, nutrient recovery, as well as plants for advanced oxidation.

After commissioning, the operation of the plants will last one year at the El Toyo WWTP, during which results will be obtained with a variety of input water qualities and combinations of technologies.
